Last week we went snorkeling on the Pacific Ocean. On the way we saw at least a couple dozen manta rays jumping into the air. They were dark on top and white and shiny on the bottom. The closest one was about ten feet away from the sailboat we were on. Our guide said that they were jumping in order to clean themselves. Daddy thought that they were just plain happy because it was such a beautiful sunny day on the coast of Guanacaste.
After seeing the rays, we stopped the boat and went snorkeling near the shore on a coral reef area. This was my first time ever snorkling. I saw blue and black striped fish. There also were yellow and blue fish. The biggest fish I saw was at least seven or eight inches long.
My snorkle wasn't working very well because I had a loose tooth. Dad told me to bite down hard to get a better seal and when I did, I lost my tooth in the ocean. The next morning I discovered that in Costa Rica the tooth fairy give kids Colones instead of U.S. money.

So, William, did the tooth fairy accept the shell in place of your tooth at the bottom of the bay? Did the fairy leave colones or U.S. money? Will you be able to eat sweet corn next summer? If not, I'll cut it off the cob for you! Love, Other
